Welcome to Ms. Shroyer Piotrowski's Visual Art Classroom Site
Hello Nettelhorst community! I am pleased to teach all students in Kindergarten through 8th grade in visual art, and hope to use this site as a means to communicate with families and community. Visit the Student Art page to learn about the projects we're working on and to see some student artwork. The Resources page has information about my classroom policies and grading, as well as a link to my rubrics and extra credit assignment. The Links page includes a variety of links to art museums, arts organizations, and fine arts schools.
**Middle School Fundraiser Project:
Middle school students have the opportunity to contribute photographs to the Spring Gala Fundraiser. Interested 6th-8th grade students should submit a signed permission slip to me by Feb. 21. We will shoot photos and edit them using iPhoto, and a selection of photos will be auctioned at the Gala to raise funds for our school. We will work on the photos from 3:00-4:30 on Feb. 22-24.
The Nettelhorst Student Art Show and Fundraiser at Robert Jeffrey Hair Salon
Please join us on Friday, March 2 from 7:00-10:00 for the opening of the Nettelhorst Student Art Show! A selection of paintings, prints, sculptures, and mixed-media works from K-8 students will be on display at Robert Jeffrey Hair Salon, 3434 N Halsted. The exhibit will be on display from March 2 - April 27.
